Among the musical treasures up for auction on Sunday at Julien’s Auctions for charity are a skateboard signed by Olivia Rodrigo, a guitar performed live by Jon Bon Jovi, and a catsuit worn by Dua Lipa.
The 66th annual Grammy Awards from Los Angeles on Sunday will have a new lot of musical treasures up for sale, as announced on Monday by the auction house and music industry charity.
The 28-year-old singer donned the specially constructed gold “Illusion” catsuit—which includes elbow-length gloves—as part of her Future Nostalgia tour in the fall of 2022. It was designed by Casey Cadwallader.
The ensemble had been seen on Dua Lipa at two different shows in 2022: one in Buenos Aires, Argentina, on September 13, and another in São Paulo, Brazil, on September 8, 2022.
According to Julien’s, the handmade bodysuit ‘took over 1,160 total hours to produce and is all over embroidered with 120,000 crystals.’ It is projected to sell for between $4,000 and $6,000.
Under Cadwallader’s creative leadership, the bodysuit sport ‘a boned bodice with overall spiral sheer tulle panels and matching gloves,’ as the’spiral-like shear splices are the brand’s hallmark design.’
Several items from well-known recording artist Jon Bon Jovi, who is being recognized as the Person of the Year 2024, are also up for auction.
A stage-used 2018 acoustic guitar with a gloss black finish and a mahogany neck is the item from Bon Jovi with the highest estimated value.
Along with a black Dunlop guitar strap, it includes a guitar case with personalized picks.
The guitar that Bon Jovi performed in the Story of Love music video is anticipated to fetch a price tag of $10,000 to $15,000.
