Emily Ratajkowski starred in a stunning photo shoot for a men’s magazine: It shouldn’t be embarrassing
Emily Ratajkowski has stated that she writes about her own experiences in the hopes of encouraging other young, divorced women.
Before divorcing in July 2022, the model and Sebastian Bear-McClard welcomed a son, Bear, two, together in 2018.
The 32-year-old says she wants to remove some of the “stigma” associated with divorce in the latest issue of Vogue Australia, where she also appears on the cover.
It is astounding that there aren’t more books about first marriages ending in divorce. I’ve read a lot of divorce-related literature, but most of it deals with families dissolving after their children have grown up,” she said to the newspaper.
Emily went on, “I do believe that a lot of women are getting divorced at younger ages, and there’s such a stigma around it.”
The actress continued by saying that women are less likely to be in unhealthy relationships these days since they are more financially secure.
Women are now earning more money than their partners, if not exactly the same amount, which has drastically altered our world. And then there’s the labor at home, the emotional and physical responsibilities,’ she added.
Marriage isn’t always what it used to be, or what was intended to be, a fair deal.
It shouldn’t be disgraceful for them to back out of that shit deal because I’m not sure if it was ever a fair deal. I want to write more about that in my writing.
Earlier, Emily talked about her divorce with Eileen Kelly on the Dear Media podcast Going Mental.
