Emma Stone strips off for a scene in a brothel, and her co-star addresses irate spectators
In the sensual new film Poor Things, Emma Stone’s character Bella Baxter engages in a sexual encounter with a female prostitute in a brothel scene, earning her the moniker “ultra horny.”
In the upcoming film, which stars Emma as Bella and Mark Ruffalo as attorney Duncan Wedderburn, Bella is shown to have committed suicide and then to have raised from the dead.

In a twist reminiscent of Frankenstein, she is brought back to life by implanting her unborn child’s brain into her skull, and she sets off on a quest for self-discovery.
The most explicit parts of the film, which have Bella using an apple as a sex toy, engaging in some “furious jumping” with Duncan, and even getting saucy at a brothel with a female sex worker, will be well known to viewers by now.
During a scene in the film, Bella works at Madame Swiney’s eccentric brothel, where she accepts any client that is brought in. She must, however, maintain complete control and refuse to be forced into doing anything.

Critics have labeled the movie as “ultra horny,” but Emma says it helped her let go of internalized shame. “For me, shame was a hell of a drug,” the woman stated.
Perhaps because I was raised as a Lutheran and there was a concept of right and wrong, that explains why.
“I internalized a lot of things that made me feel bad or ashamed, just in a societal sense. Bella has played a significant role in my life during the last few years, while I have been doubting my beliefs.

Emma went on, “Because there’s travel, there’s dancing, there’s food, there’s politics, and there’s the idea of money— sex is just one aspect of Bella’s experiencing of everything.”
However, I believe that when it comes to sex and the finding of pleasure, it starts out as pure pleasure before evolving.
