Penelope Cruz looked stylish at the event, sporting a sultry leather ensemble that accentuated her timeless curves
At the Friday night Los Angeles premiere of her latest movie, Ferrari, Penelope Cruz took center stage.
In her stylish black top, matching leather jacket, and flared trousers, the 49-year-old Oscar nominee—who is playing Italian automaker Enzo Ferrari’s wife Laura Ferrari in the biopic—looked if she had just stepped off the catwalk.
The Volver former star kept her signature brunette locks long and loose while adding a contemporary edge to her look with a pair of gold hoops earrings and black stiletto heels.
Penelope was the center of attention during the SAG-AFTRA Foundation event’s Q&A round as she answered questions from the audience while seated in a director’s chair.
The Spanish celebrity revealed to ET the day before the event that she would be turning 50 in April 2024, saying, “I’m really looking at it as the beginning of the second part of my life.”
‘It could be good to keep her around “much longer” while she spends time with her kids and future grandkids,’ she joked, adding that although she might not be ‘happy’ with the usage of AI in movies.
Ferrarri is providing the actor another opportunity to showcase her dramatic abilities in the interim.
Penelope spoke to Empire on her decision to play Laura, saying, “During my research, many people told me she had mental health issues, she was just hiding at home, she was crazy, and she had nothing to do with the company.”
“And the more I read about her, the angrier I became over these remarks,” she said.
The actress then on, “She’s much more important for the family than people have known or people wanted to know.”
She also disclosed that she had excruciating pain during a visit to the apartment where her Ferrari persona resided.
