Kim took a bold step for a chic look on the red carpet

Leading the star-studded arrivals at GQ’s Men of the Year celebration in Los Angeles on Thursday night, Kim Kardashian looked like a typical feminine.

Despite being a woman, the 43-year-old reality TV star caused a stir when she covered the men’s magazine special issue, which some called “dumb and super insensitive.”

As Kim walked the red carpet wearing a sensual suede Chrome Hearts dress that flaunted her curves, she dismissed the controversy.

The mother-of-four’s dress featured gothic cross-shaped embroidery, a halter neckline, and a seductive low back.

She donned a long, disheveled blonde wig that hung down to her waist in place of her trademark raven hair.

For the evening, Kim’s favorite makeup artist Ariel gave the star a glossy nude lip and a seductive brown smokey eye.

The creator of SKIMS exuded confidence as she flaunted her appearance for the cameras before the event.

The 2023 awards on Thursday night recognized a number of individuals who have influenced fashion, entertainment, sports, and culture.

After launching Skims menswear, Kim was named Tycoon of the Year. For the cover spread, she posed in an androgynous suit and tie and shared on Instagram: Hey! The GQ Man of the Year is me!

This year, US covers were achieved by rapper Travis Scott, Jacob Elordi, and Kim.

GQ has come under fire online since Kim’s cover was revealed for featuring a woman as one of the “Men of the Year” cover stars.

Kim is not the first woman to cover the annual issue; previous female covers include Scarlett Johansson, Jennifer Lopez, Jennifer Aniston, Rihanna, and Megan Thee Stallion.

Despite this, some people felt that Kim was “taking away from the successful men.”

Jacob Elordi, Kim’s other cover star, showed up to the celebration on Thursday seemingly unfazed by the online commotion.

The 26-year-old Euphoria star looked great in a boxy black pinstripe jacket, pants, and a pastel yellow shirt with a large collar, channeling his recent Elvis persona.
